Our society and our world are constantly changing and it can be challenging to cope with at times. To bounce back and thrive, maintaining personal resilience is key. The stronger our resilience, the better equipped we are to deal with change and challenging situations. We can all benefit from boosting our mental and emotional resilience.

This seminar will explore methods to increase self-awareness and boost your personal resilience, as well as that of your work team.  It is aimed at all staff, managers and practitioners in work health safety, enterprise risk management and return to work.

Debra has a broad range of psychological, management and human resource consulting experience, and specialises in the areas of workplace mental health, building emotional resilience and improving workplace functioning.

Debra will present on personal resilience in times of change. The key topics covered will be:
  • Understanding how change can affect our resilience
  • Stress and how it can be perceived
  • Mindset and its effect on our resilience
  • Practical resilience boosters that can assist us in times of pressure and change

Clare Pemberton, A/Chief Risk & Safety Officer, NSW Ambulance

Working with staff who have suffered a work injury can be stressful, particularly when navigating through permanent lifestyle and career changes.  Clare will present a case study of strategies implemented by her unit at NSW Ambulance to ensure the resilience of the Recover at Work Coordinators.
